THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK

In 1980 George Lucas treated us to the second installment of the Original Trilogy. The Empire
Strikes Back found its way into the movie theaters.
Directed by Irvin Kershner this movie is the masterpiece of the entire saga. After the destruction
of the Death Star Vader tries to hunt down the rebels. We saw many new planets from the Ice Planet
Hoth to the slimy mudhole Dagobah to the city in the clouds of Bespin.
Vader finds the rebel base on the planet of Hoth from where the rebels escape and he continues to
hunt them down.
Luke finds an old Jedimaster, Yoda who trains him in the ways of the force, even though too old he
is. Han Solo gets captured by Vader and given to the Bounty Hunter Boba Fett to hand him over to
Jabba the Hutt. Luke confronts Vader on Bespin and finds out a shocking truth about his past.
Empire is highly rated movie by critics and is a fan favorite.
